Johanna is my muse

I have recently been trying some different technique with my art, including using a mix of water color paint and ink pens. Here is an attempt at using both mediums featuring my awesome and gorgeous muse, Johanna Saavedra (find her on Facebook HERE )

Johanna Saavedra at Hamburger Mary's and TgirlNights

One of my favorite and most fun people that i count as a muse is the truly beautiful Johanna Saavedra (Follow her Facebook HERE ) and one of the main reasons i love drawing/sketching her so much is the fact that she has so many different layers of her life.
While Johanna works tirelessly with several organizations to help promote transgender awareness and equality, she is also a sexy and exotic go-go dancer. I try my best to draw her as a chic and fashionable model in some drawings, a strong and inspirational woman in others, and finally, i love drawing her as the sexy dancer who could make any man fall to his knees with a hard-on! Johanna often dances at TgirlNights HERE and HERE . If you have a chance, make sure you go and check out Johanna when she dances, it is a show that you shouldn't miss!

My Muse Johanna Saavedra

As an artist I find that my art is inspired on 2 levels. Both the physical and the mental levels. That is one reason why Johanna Saavedra (her FACEBOOK ) has become one of my favorite muses. Her dancers body has been kissed by the California sun, giving her the look of a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue model. Her looks alone would inspire several drawings, but as I said, my art is also inspired by Johanna mentally. She and I have had the pleasure of talking several times over the phone, talking about her passion to help promote equal rights for both the transgender and latino rights. For me those conversations have been what has inspired the most art. A beautiful face and well-sculpted body can only go so far. Johanna's friendly personality, open-minded-ness, kindness, and the fact that she wants to teach the world to accept transgender/LGBT people is what makes me want to draw her, and to promote whatever she is doing. Below i posted 2 of Johanna's youtube vids showing both sides of her personality that inspires me.

TransLivesMatter

The sketch on this blog entry was inspired by the hard-working members of the TransLatina Coalition
(see there site HERE ) who i was introduced to through my friend and muse Johanna Saavedra.
They are selling teeshirts (see the photo below) to raise money for the orginization. If you are interested in supporting transgender equality and rights, make sure you go to their site and donate, or purchase one of their shirts!
